It's Blockdata's mission to accelerate blockchain adoption. We do this by enabling the blockchain/ DLT ecosystem access to data and valuable insights. We aim to highlight the real world adoption and integration of this evolutionary technology into business processes across all industries.
This Content Policy may be updated at any point as we develop and improve our content structures / inventory and shall be referenced and incorporated into all client’s subscription agreement
Blockdata employs professional researchers, content writers and editors to produce quality research - reports, updates, explainers and more. These are designed to instruct, inform and inspire both blockchain vendors and adopters alike - with the primary aim of increasing awareness of the DLT ecosystem. Blockdata believes we are only in the early stages of witnessing a cardinal shift in how data is stored - let alone how traditional systems are changing.
As a rule of thumb, Blockdata content does not cover negative press - such as scandals or other illicit activities that leads to the premature closure of such businesses. This is the case whether the company is a client or not. Blockdata’s content policy helps us build and maintain a level of trust that is often instrumental in gaining access to sources from leading tech providers who are willing to share explicit details about the inner workings of their companies. Additionally, Blockdata embraces industry-leading journalistic standards and best practices for all DLT related research that we choose to pursue.
These standards and practices mean that Blockdata’s editors maintain complete control of all editorial content (incl. publishing date and status; headline and promotional copy; article text and hyperlinks; company placements; and all accompanying art photography and other multimedia elements). The types of editorial content you may find on Blockdata are but not limited to:
Non paid content
Blockdata regularly produces topic specific research reports on the development of the DLT ecosystem. To be included in these, we adhere to our data disclaimer when collecting information and we may approach vendors in the space to provide us with updated data to ensure they are accurately represented.
Blockdata’s mini summaries are small pieces on specific industry events and developments that we want to shine some extra light onto. These may consist of one or two images, trend reportings and general vendor listings.
Blockdata also produces newsletters to our subscribers concerning any form of notable content we believe is interesting for the development of the DLT ecosystem. At present, all subscribers see the same email - although future modifications may follow as we experiment with personalised email content based on our users topics of interest.
What is paid content?
Blockdata offers a paid Premium Partnership in which we work with vendors to highlight their cultures, notable advancements and business models. You will always be able to identify paid content as it will be clearly marked. Blockdata is paid by Premium vendors to be included in specific content types, as listed below.
Blockdata maintains editorial control and decides when and why a company fits into a subject matter of our choice. Examples involve the inclusion in an article, publishing date and status, headline, text, vendor placement, photography and graphics. Premium Vendors relinquish editorial control, however are invited to approve of content prior to publication.
Spotlights are content pieces that acknowledge a particular vendor's “story of innovation”. If the vendor has achieved some major developments, has an interesting story to tell or has a unique approach that stands out from the herd - this will be illustrated in spotlights. Blockdata will interview the chosen vendor holding editorial control. In short, our Spotlights are designed to be informative.
Round ups are content pieces/lists that aim to highlight different points of view around topics of interest to the general DLT ecosystem. Blockdata will interview 5 different companies on their thoughts and will include their perspectives into these roundups. Roundups may also include images from those companies in order to make the content more engaging. Blockdata may also include non-paid vendors in the lists if our analysts believe there is a company that is relevant to the topic at hand.
